ohamanda.com (my sil) posted about loving books today. I thought I would answer the same questions she did...

What are you reading right now? A.D. Chronicles Second Touch by Bodie and Brock Thoene and Shepherding a Child's Heart by Tedd Tripp.

Do you have any idea what you’ll read when you’re done with that? The next A.D. Chronicles and Dare to Discipline by Dr. James Dobson.

What magazines do you have in your bathroom right now? None. But I do like the Joyce Meyer magazine.

What’s the worst thing you were ever forced to read? All my school books!

What’s the one book you always recommend to just about everyone? The truth is, I have not always enjoyed reading. Reading is a new found experience for me, so I think it would have to be A.D. Chronicles. And if anyone has a child then I would recommend Shepherding a Child's Heart.

Admit it, the librarians at your library know you on a first name basis, don’t they? They do not, but Nora and I went to the library a lot this summer and we actually have a couple of books that are a little late.

Is there a book you absolutely love, but for some reason, people never think it sounds interesting, or maybe they read it and don’t like it at all? ????????

Do you read books while you do other things? I could never do that. It has to be quite for me to understand what I am reading. If it is not, then I have to read it over and over again.

When you were little, did other children tease you about your reading habits? NO WAY! I didn't read so they couldn't tease me. My brother was always a BIG reader but not myself.

What’s the last thing you stayed up half the night reading because it was so good you couldn’t put it down? A.D. Chronicles First Light. As I got deeper into the book I just couldn't read it fast enough!!!

Check out ohamanda if you haven't already:)

Take the Dobson book with a grain of salt...he advises starting spanking kids at 8 months old...with a small switch!!! :(
Time outs are so much more effective than hitting kids.

You're reading my favorite books! I need to check out the Shepherding book, too. I like what you've said about it.
