911

The Milton City Firemen came to preschool this week. They came in and talked to the 3 and 4 year olds about fire safety and calling 911. The firemen was telling the kids to only dial 911 if it is an emergency. One of the 4 year old boys raised his hand and said, "so if a paper airplane flies into the oven then I should call 911?" LOL, is what I did. I could just imagine that he has had this conversation with his mom before.

After the fireman talked with the kids they dressed one of the men up in all his gear. They put his air tank on with his big mask and had the kids listen to him breath in the air. They were encouraging the kids to not be afraid of him. They wanted the kids to see what the fireman would look like if they were ever in a fire. After he took his mask off Nora jumped up from where she was sitting and ran up to him to give him a hug. 3 more kids followed her. It was very cute.

Then they took all the kids outside to see the truck, pretend to drive the truck and they even let the kids shoot water out of the hose. The kids are so cute how they are just in awe of the fire truck. It was a lot of fun. I sure hope we never have to call 911!

I love firemen! They run in when everyone else runs out!
