Princess Pumpkin

We bought one of those pumpkin carving kits that comes with stencils and special tools to carve "The Perfect Pumpkin". This kit came with Disney Princess stencils. Nora picked Snow White for our pumpkin this year. Here is our princess pumpkin.

More October Fun!

Saturday night we went with my mom, brother and his friend to the Chattahoochee Nature Center for their Halloween Hikes. It was a lot of fun! They had crafts and face paint for the kids, yummy hot chocolate, costumed animals passing out candy and a guided hike through the woods.

During the hike we would stop at different places to see animals such as the beaver, a spider, a bird and more. They would tell us a little about themselves and their habitat. Our favorite was the "rapping" Venus Fly Trap. It was so funny, she totally rapped her entire speech. We were cracking up! After we visited the fly trap we say a dragonfly. He mentioned that he had to stay clear of fly traps because they are dangerous for him. One little boy in the front said, "Don't go down there, there is a fly trap that way." Everyone laughed out loud. He was right and very serious. Nora got a little scared of the animals, so we told her that it was just people dressed in costumes. Every time we would meet a new animal she would blurt out, "That's just a man" or "that's just a lady." She had us cracking up! The raindrop that we visited asked everyone, "do you know who I am?" One little boy said, "a space ship!" As you can see the hike was a good laugh!

Mom said that she thought the boys would hate it, but they actually wouldn't stop talking about it. My brother's friend Drew spent the night with him and he told my mom that she was the best for taking them on the hike. He is a really sweet boy!

Party at the Park

Friday morning we went to a birthday party! This is the 1st birthday party of the school year, there will be many more! One of Nora's girl friends was turning the BIG 4! Yikes! It scares me to think that Nora will be turning 4 in May. It's closer then we think. Anyway, this little girl had her birthday party at the park. It was a lot of fun and of coarse Nora had a blast with her friends!

This is Nora's best friend. Really! They were in the same class last year and they LOVE each other. Nora is always talking about "N" and "N" is always talking about Nora. Yes, they both have N names and blond hair. Crazy! They are DOUBLE TROUBLE!!! Just ask their teacher:)

These are all kids from my music class so they think it is so weird that Miss Brandy is at the party. They think I live in that music room. I am glad I don't!

She comes home with so much paper work and I love it all. But it is a lot to keep up with. I am going to try to document it all in my blog. It is so fun to watch your child learn something new!

Funny Things

Today as we were driving to school Nora tells me that she wants to be 5. She really just holds up one hand with all 5 fingers and says, "I wanna be this many." So I tell her she has 2 more years and then she will be 5. She looks at me and says..."I have 2 ears" as she grabs both of her ears. I just said, yes you do. Then I laughed:)

When Nora is reading a story she starts it by saying..."one upon a time." So cute!

Concepts 21 Fall Festival

Compassion In Action weekend started today. This is a ministry through UNITE. (Click the links to find out more about UNITE and CIA.) So RUMC came out today to help us do a fall festival for our kids at Concepts 21. It was a lot of fun! Perimeter Church is coming back tomorrow with carnival games for the families as well! Thank you RUMC and Perimeter Church for all the donations and volunteers to make this weekend lots of fun! Check out all the fun!
